Cheap Getaways
I dont think there is somebody in this world who doesnt want to get out and have a vacation. We need time to take a break from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. We need time to relax and rejuvenate from the stress that we may be experiencing especially from work. Many of us admit to ourselves that we need a vacation but we have been putting off plans for a vacation because of money constraints. We have a little money to spare for a break but we feel that it is not enough to get that needed vacation.
I am telling you now that you dont need a big budget to get that well deserved break. Your getaway doesnt have to be in some location which is at the other side of the globe or at some expensive exotic beach in the Pacific. You can actually find a lot of getaways that are light on the budget and you can actually spend some quality time with friends and family.
If you enjoy nature, then camping could be an option for you. There are always good camp locations within a short distance or if you are up for some adventure you could go further away. This would be a perfect time for you to spend some quiet time surrounded by nature at its finest. You could engage in a lot of activities like fishing, hiking, or going for a swim if there is a lake or stream nearby.
A day trip would also suit just fine. You could spend a day at an amusement or water park having fun and enjoying the rides. You could spend the day discovering your city and trying to visit those places which you havent even had the chance to explore. If you enjoy art, spend some time admiring beautiful works in art galleries and museums.
You could also choose to visit places over the weekend like maybe the next town or city nearby. It is advisable that you avail of discounts offered and you could also save much when you avail of travel packages. It is usually cheap when you travel off season and not during peak periods.
There a lot of getaways or vacation trips even for those on a tight budget. All it takes is just some research, creativity and a sense of adventure and you are on your way to a relaxing time even if it is just for a day.

The first websites using the dot-travel domain name went live back in October 2005 in a flurry of media announcements and hype. Since then the hype has subsided and there appears to be little evidence of a major take up of the new Dot.Travel domains.
The benefits of taking a new Dot.Travel domain are presented as;

- enforced authentication by an independent third party which reduces the likelihood of cyber-squatting and domain name speculators.
- Dot.Travel domain holders can get listings in the internet's first global travel directory and dedicated search engine.
The global travel directory and dedicated search engine could potentially be a useful promotional tool. However, are these compelling enough reasons to add a Dot.Travel to your .com or .co.uk domains?
Many travel and holiday firms have spent millions of pounds and many years investing in their .com and .co.uk domains. so the addition of another top level domain would simply dilute their online branding for little perceived benefit.
Also, you can only effectively promote one domain in the search engines, so if your existing domain is already positioned well in the natural search results why would you want to start all over again with a new domain?
Anyone that has been involved in the launch of a new website recently will know that a major investment in time and resources is now required to create the kind of exposure necessary for a site to be commercially successful.
So, if there is a risk that an additional domain could dilute your existing online branding, and promoting this new domain in the search engines would be a time consuming and costly exercise, is there really a compelling argument for the Dot.Travel domain? Could the Dot.Travel domain go the same way as dotTV and dotBiz?

At one time or another, you are going to have to transport your equipment, even if it's only a half hour away to the local club where you contracted to play. Whether you transport your equipment in a truck, van, or SUV, the important thing is to make sure that everything is protected not only from the weather, but also from any bumps that may occur in the road. To do that, you want to make sure that you have everything protected with either a blanket or an instrument covering. You need to make sure that they don't bump against each other and don't have an opportunity to fall during the drive.
If your venue is some distance from where you live, and you need to fly or take the train, you may find that your equipment is not quite as subject to bumping as it is on the highway. That doesn't mean, however, that you should be any less cautious. You still want to protect your equipment, especially on a plane where you may be subject to turbulence. Even if your equipment is insured, you don't want to have to worry about it being damaged before you reach the venue, and have to make arrangements to rent equipment to use for your show.
For local venues, a van is much better than a truck or even SUV because of the size the ease of putting instruments into it. An SUV can be somewhat small for transporting a large drum set, and a regular truck offers no protection in case of rain. The latter may be find if you find yourself in a bind, but when it comes time to buy a vehicle for transporting band equipment, a cargo van is your best choice. In fact, you may want to put some cushioning in the back of the van perhaps carpet the sides, especially if you don't plan to use the van for any other purpose. This will save you from having to tote along extra padding when you travel with the equipment. The earlier you learn how to properly transport your equipment, the easier it will be later if you choose to go national with your act and have to move the equipment more frequently and transport it for longer distances.
Keeping everything protected and safe means that when you get to your destination, you know that everything will be ready to go right on stage for practice and performance. Take all of the precautions now, and you will reap many benefits later in the time savings and longevity of your instruments' lives. Don't try to cut corners with your protective equipmentbuy the best that is on the market.
